I may be the 1st but I’m sure not the last Ossie traveler to visit and stay at Ciprian most welcoming Hostel
I cannot say how helpful and efficient both Ciprian and his delightful wife Irene have been. My visit has been quite complicated but Ciprian went the extra mile to sort things out for me. The Monastery Tour was very well conducted with explicit explanations – The guide answering every question with patience – even my stupid ones!
I had an unplanned tour , tour to the Ukraine which I thoroughly enjoyed. The richness of the land compared with my own “brown country ” was mind-boqqling as was the border crossing .Over a few beers back home , I shall certainly recommend Irene’s Hostel to my friends and trust that their fledgling enterprise will continue and succeed.
To my knowledge Romanian travel has not been popular with Australians in general – such is their loss. Information is scarce and quite hard to come by. So far I have found to country both beautiful and full of interest.
Finding such energetic and helpful hosts has been a bonus!

I heard about Irene’s Hostel over www.hostelworld.com , but had not booked in advance. Ciprian , his wife and his brother–in–law really did everything to feel home in this nice hostel.I enjoyed talking to Ciprian as he is an experienced traveler. Thanks for all your advice regarding the nearby monasteries and how to go to Chisinau, Moldova.
Suceava town is not the beauty-queen in Romania , but it is a nice town and I recommend to visit here in the city and citadel and the equestrian statue of STEfAN CEL MARE. Voronet and Humor Monasteries are very impressive and the surrounding countryside is nice, a bit like the Black Forest in Germany. I wish Ciprian good luck for his nice hostel and will recommend it to other travelers.

We came here almost by chance because the tyre of our bicycle broke on our way across the Ukrainian border, but it was a chance we shouldn’t have missed: We were welcomed very warmly and helped in very possible way.
We won’t forget the supper we had together with Ciprian and his wife.

We found this hostel on www.hostelworld.com and the choice to come here couldn’t be better!!! It’s TOP HOSTEL on our list. We felt here like at home. We never forget delicious dinner and the “power” of palinca!
Thank you very much for the interesting trips through monasteries. (We hope we weren’t to annoyed).

After several hours of hitch-hiking from Transylvania I finally arrived in this wonderful warm and welcoming hostel (although I was the only guest at that time!). .And I have to admit that I had the best 12 hours of sleep in my life!
Thanks a lot to Ciprian, who set up this great hostel and I hope he and his family will welcome lots of travelers in the future!
